EPR is currently working on three SRTS projects across the state. These include:
Route 340 Warren County Sidewalk and Pedestrian Signalization (associated with Skyline High School in Warren County) – EPR is working with LPDA for this design effort which includes a sidewalk adjacent to Route 340 between Criser Road and Skyline Vista Drive in Warren County. EPR’s role is to address the addition of pedestrian signalization to two traffic signals, provide maintenance of traffic plans, and also provide a stormwater plan. The 90% plans package was submitted in September of 2014.
Charlottesville VA SRTS for Clark Elementary School – EPR is designing intersection improvements at three intersections including 6th Street SE at Monticello Avenue, Rialto Street at Monticello Avenue, and Meridian Avenue at Belmont Avenue, and Rialto Street at Monticello Avenue. The 6th Street intersection includes placement of conduits and junction boxes for a later phase when a pedestrian beacon may be added.
Lynchburg SRTS for Bass Elementary and Linkhorne Elementary – EPR is designing sidewalk and intersection improvements, including addition of pedestrian features to an existing signalized intersection. The sidewalk improvements are along Campbell Avenue and Seabury Avenue for the Bass Elementary project. For the Linkhorne Elementary project the primary improvement is an intersection re-design at Linkhorne and the school parking lot.
