EPR provided civil design services for the design of a new parking facility for the JAUNT paratransit provider organization. The project was FTA funded.
The design utilized an innovative permeable pavement structure, called PaveDrain, which was designed to result in zero runoff for the 25 year, 24 hour storm event. EPR prepared and submitted the construction plans and permits for review and approval to the City of Charlottesville. This plan set included the civil design, stormwater design and calculations, and erosion and sediment control measures for the JAUNT parking facility.
The project was bid within 5% of the engineers cost estimate and was fully constructed in January 2013. EPR was also responsible for the on-site construction administration for the project and providing the as-built drawings to JAUNT as a final project phase.
