BIO
Matthew Loomis Rehnborg is a Planner who recently rejoined EPR, bringing more than a decade of experience spanning transportation planning, regional planning, transit, consulting, and community development. Matthew previously served as a Senior Planner at EPR from 2013 to 2017 and again from 2021 to 2025. His background also includes work as a Transit Planner for the City of Greenville, South Carolina, and as a Regional Planner with the Roanoke Valley-Alleghany Regional Commission.
Matthew’s planning experience includes highway corridor reviews, freight and transportation data analysis, transit ridership surveys, Safe Routes to School initiatives, traffic-flow data collection, and Transportation Improvement Plan mapping. He also served as a Peace Corps Community and Organization Development Volunteer in Albania, where he worked with local governments, nongovernmental organizations, and USAID on grant-funded community development, environmental, and tourism initiatives. Matthew holds graduate degrees in urban and environmental planning and divinity, giving him an interdisciplinary perspective on transportation, community development, public service, and the ways people build and sustain communities.
