EPR is leading the Town of North East’s Comprehensive Plan update, taking a multidisciplinary approach to refine the town’s 2012 Comprehensive Plan while ensuring alignment with Maryland’s Land Use Article and the Town’s future vision. EPR brings expertise in land use, transportation, economic development, and public engagement, collaborating closely with Kittelson & Associates for additional support.
Key responsibilities include reviewing and completing critical plan elements such as the Transportation, Municipal Growth, and Water Resource elements. The team is focused on integrating land use priorities, enhancing mobility options, and managing growth sustainably.
Public engagement is a cornerstone of this effort. The planning process incorporates diverse outreach strategies, including in-person meetings and virtual platforms, to ensure meaningful input from community members, stakeholders, and regional partners like WILMAPCO. In addition, EPR is facilitating compliance reviews to integrate state requirements and coordinating with local agencies to finalize and adopt the updated plan.
