EPR is excited to announce that Vlad Gavrilovic, AICP has joined our team as Principal for Community Planning and Urban Design.
“We are thrilled to welcome Vlad to our practice during this very exciting period of growth for the company,” said Bill Wuensch, Principal Transportation Engineer for EPR. “Our firm has a great track record and a passionate approach, and with Vlad’s expertise, we’ll be able to continue to meet and exceed our client expectations.”
Vlad comes to us from a remarkable 30-year career, deeply versed in all types of planning and design in Virginia and throughout the country and his experience and will be a great asset to EPR. He comes to us from an 11-year post as principal in charge of Renaissance Planning’s Charlottesville, VA office, where he was responsible for much of the firm’s award-winning Virginia-based land use and transportation planning work and also led the firm’s urban design practice throughout the country. Before that, Vlad ran his own successful practice for 13 years after initial career experiences that included working for Sasaki Associates in Washington, DC as an urban designer, working as a public-sector planner in Illinois and for a private development firm in suburban Maryland. Vlad has also taught urban design and design theory at the University of Virginia and George Washington University and is a member of APA’s urban design and preservation division and a member of the Virginia chapter of APA’s legislative policy committee.
Throughout his career, Vlad has engaged with a variety of public sector projects and clients at all levels of local, state and federal scales and has earned lasting respect for his unique approach that integrates the disciplines of transportation planning, land use and urban design to create the most thoughtful solutions to the complex problems faced by communities in the 21st century.
We’re very happy to welcome Vlad to EPR, and we look forward to the perspective he will bring to our practice as we grow in the coming years!
