EPR (in conjunction with Warner White Engineering Partners) provided traffic engineering analysis and design support on the Greenview Drive project in Lynchburg Virginia. The study effort included providing travel demand forecasts for the future design horizon year, and then conducting analyses to identify develop lane calls at entrances and intersections along the corridor. EPR developed simulation models and assisted with the public involvement process to answer questions about future traffic conditions and reasons for geometric design considerations at the intersections. EPR worked with the project team to develop a final typical section that included an off road multiuse path that will serve the needs of both novice and experienced bicyclists along the corridor. EPR also provided the design for traffic signalization.
